Hot tips for hot sleepers

As the seasons change, the nights are getting warmer. Is it always a bit too warm for you or your partner at night, no matter what time of year it is? Here are our tips for you so that you can wake up fresh and rested in the morning!

The right duvet

If you are looking for something that is particularly breathable and temperature-regulating, a sheep's wool duvet might be more suitable for you than a down duvet. Down absorbs and stores heat and moisture. Wool, on the other hand, transports moisture and adjusts to body temperature.

Stay cool

Did you know that our body temperature drops in the evening? Apparently our bodies are conditioned to cool down at night. Scientists therefore recommend keeping the bedroom cool: turn the thermostat down to 15-19°C or simply sleep with the window open.

Bedding from Undercover

There is nothing better to combat night sweats than TENCEL™. TENCEL™ is not only particularly breathable, but also regulates temperature. We use TENCEL™ in combination with the highest quality cotton for our bed linen. The percale fabric feels fresh and soft; an invitation to a wonderful night's sleep in both summer and winter.

Goodbye polyester

The synthetic fiber is known for trapping heat and has also been proven to be very harmful to the environment. If you're already trying to avoid polyester - hats off to you! But be warned, because unfortunately polyester keeps creeping into bedding, mattress protectors (molton) or toppers, so always look carefully at the label before you buy something.

Pay attention to your diet

Caffeine and alcohol should be avoided in the evening. Eating fatty, heavy or particularly spicy food before going to bed puts additional strain on the body and can also lead to sweating.
